Therapeutic Massage & Training Center offers continuing education. This allows alumni to remain current with both the New Jersey State and National mandates for continuing education units each year, and CPR certification.

Acutonics Level I
Sound Gates to Meridian Harmonics – 24 CEU
April 27th through April 29th
The workshop will introduce the Acutonics® Healing system. This noninvasive system has its roots in Oriental Medicine and draws on science, music, metaphysics, philosophical traditions and both Eastern and Western medicine to create an integrated, harmonic approach to healthcare and healing.
This is a highly experiential workshop. Practitioners will learn how to apply precision calibrated tuning forks using sound intervals that are based on the orbital properties of the Earth, Moon, and Sun. You will learn to treat a wide variety of physical, psychological, and spiritual conditions through the use of the extraordinary vessels, microcosmic orbit, windows to the sky, and selected points with transformational overtones. Explore the art of listening, cellular reentraining and attuning, and their combined role in re-harmonization.

Practical Aromatherapy – 21 CEU
Day 1: July 1 Day 2: July 29 Day 3: August 26, 2012
Time: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Each day of this 3-day course will provide theory and practice with essential oils. We will explore the world of essential oils through learning about their botany, chemistry, range of actions and applications. We will use our intuitive skills to access the messages the plant essences hold for us. Class blending activities will include creating blends for both therapeutic and subtle energy work. The class will give you the basics for being able to create blends on your own at home. Maren has been a practicing aromatherapist for 13 years. She has an aromatherapy business, Good Scents, Inc., and has been teaching for 9 years.

Scent, Sound and the Chakras – 7 CEU

Explore the chakra system. Learn how to incorporate a chakra balancing into your bodywork practice. Discover how to integrate tuning forks, singing bowls and essential oil blends in a simple, yet profound chakra balancing.

Using Sound in Bodywork – 8 CEU
Date: September 8, 2012
Time: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Explore the power of sound and how to effectively incorporate it into your bodywork practice. Sound is increasingly used in healing and wellness environments because of its ability to shift patterns physically, mentally and emotionally. For the body worker it can help relax and prepare the client for the hands-on work as well as be used to release tight tissue and trigger points.
